About Me

Hi, welcome to my blog.  I’m Jamie and to the left in the picture is my husband Rick.

I am here to openly talk about my life, the good, bad and indifferent.  You will hear me talk a lot about a chronic illness called Fibromyalgia (aka Fibro or FM) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (aka CFS/ME) because it is something I battle with on a day to day basis so therefore it is a huge part of my life and my family’s life.

Along the way I hope to help others with my experiences, educate, have some fun and yes, I might whine on occasion so please, make sure you send me some cheese to go with it 🙂 .  I always try to find the positive even in the throws of darkness but let’s face it and be honest, if you suffer from a chronic illness you “have those days”.

Between my husband and I we have a total of 5 kids (ages 19-38) and 6 grandkids (ages 2-16).  I was born and raised in Southern California in a valley called the Coachella Valley where I stayed until I moved to Arizona 20 years ago.  Contrary to my living history I am not overly fond of living in the desert.  Just turns out that way.  I am at my happiest surrounded by green and trees, trees everywhere and being in the mountain regions.

I am retired from the nursing field of 17 years and am disabled with FM/CFS.  I do have a direct sales business that I love with gourmet natural candles since 2007.

I love to listen to music of all kinds, write poetry, garden, cook and bake, bird watching, camping, going for rides on the motorcycle, do crafty things like tole painting birdhouses, making wreaths etc…or whatever creative thing comes to mind.   I love all animals but I will admit that cats are my fondest love next to birds, especially hummingbirds and birds of prey.

Okay, well once again, thanks for stopping by my blog and always feel free to leave comments because I will reply back.  I love to meet new people and chat.

All My Best,
